I do have to admit…air squats dominated me. I also wasn’t sure when I was going to burn out on my muscle up’s. So I paced myself instead of doing the Burn Out Crozby Method.
Ted tried doing Fight Gone Bad on the Rings….half way through my WOD…I see him in his car driving off…I’ll take it Fight Gone Bad won.
Updates:
Phil Collins will be played during cool down an estimated 3000 more times this year.

This is my first time posting here — didn’t finish the workout before Dan cut us off. Modified the pushups to parallets. But this was my first time doing consecutive KB snatches without bruising and that feels good. Thank you, Dan and Paul!

You guys are all my heroes. Amanda and I have been hobbling around all day today.
I did get in, however, yet another 1 1/2 hours of leaf clean-up this morning. I’ve spent a good 10+ hours clearing leaves off my lot so far this fall and I see the tree before me are still not done. Sometimes I miss the landscapers… but I must remind myself that this is why I do CrossFit, so I can do this manual labor that I used to pay fitter people to do while I sat on my arse.

No T&M Show tonight? damn, was looking forward to it. Maybe Sat?
Joe – you and I need to talk – you are missing the point of crossfit. I do crossfit to look good, stay sharp and healthy so I am successful at my job. That in turn allows me to afford a landscaper. It’s a win for everyone. And, I am super lazy.
5. November 2009 at 4:41 pm
Gonna miss this one boys and girls.
(
And if I don’t get out of this blasted training early enough tomorrow, I won’t make it in for the 5 PM. ;0{
Believe this – if I miss out on two in a row, I’m coming in Saturday with a VENGEANCE!!!
Keep up the PHENOMENAL work everybody!!!

I think CrossFit is a piece of the puzzle. It takes care of the high-intensity movements that our bodies require (since we’re not sporadically running away from tigers, etc.) However, we still need to do a bunch of low-intensity/long duration movements too, as Paleolithic man no doubt did in daily/weekly life. I think that’s where the landscaping (mowing with a manual push-reel mower, leaf clean-ups) comes in, especially since I don’t own a farm or have to go on long hunts for my food. I still think it’s not enough!

come on over this weekend Joe V…i have plenty of leaves to be raked up.
meat and veggies on me!
and there is nothing wrong with chasing a “cougar” now and then…or running from one for that matter

Not happy about missing this workout, especially the challenge–really wanted
to shoot for another PR.
500m row is the only workout that gives me instant muscle cramps and a headache–
not sure why I enjoy it.
will attempt to make the Friday 6 am

7:12 @ 53
looking forward to tomorrow… btw, if anyone was curious, there exists enough variations of “eye of the tiger” to last a whole class… i have the cd in existance somewhere

No one believes in the Paleo diet more than me, but 5000 years of economic development has allowed me to spend weekend afternoons watching sports while paying others to pick up dead leaves off my lawn. Capitalism is beautiful.

Not too happy. Was on a pace of 1 round per min until round 4, then couldn’t maintain it (mostly mentally).
