Our Instructor
Marco has been involved in gymnastics for over 27 years, and has coached men’s and women’s competitive teams since 1996. A former gymnast and Junior Olympic and National level judge, Marco uses his knowledge of biomechanics to craft workouts that are challenging and exciting. The combination of gymnastics and parkour allows members to become better overall athletes and increase their level of body awareness.
Unlike women’s gymnastics, the six events in men’s gymnastics demand greater feats of strength which this class emphasizes. Using mostly body weight exercises for gymnastics conditioning, obstacle courses and basic tumbling, members quickly learn full range body movements, injury prevention, and classic skills such as: muscle ups, handstand push-ups, rope-climb, planche, press, and levers.
