			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Thank you to all the local CrossFit Boxes for making the first annual Not Your Average Joe CrossFitter Competition a great success.  We had 25 teams compete from 11 different boxes.  It was great seeing old friends and meeting so many more new ones.  In no particular order we had teams from CrossFit Cape Ann, Crossfit Portsmouth, CrossFit Full Potential, Gold Medal CrossFit, White Mountain CrossFit, CrossFit Reclamation, CrossFit Boston, CrossFit Free, Commonwealth CrossFit, CrossFit Nashua and of course North Shore CrossFit.  It would not have gone so smooth without all theses great communities bringing such great energy.  Congratulations to all the teams for a fun and challenging day!  Thank you to everyone who helped behind the scenes, with the judging and as always my team for their hard work.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p align="center"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Not Your Average Joe/Just Your Average CrossFitter Competition</span></strong></p>
<p align="center">We have 24 Teams competing from 8 different CrossFit Boxes.  It will be great to see some old friends and meet some new ones.  See everyone in the morning!</p>
<p align="center">Saturday Classes:  There will only be the 8am running club and 8am rowing club.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"> </span></strong></p>
<p align="center"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Workout 1</span></strong></p>
<p align="center"><strong>Max clean and jerk</strong></p>
<p align="center"><strong>Max OHS</strong></p>
<p align="center"><strong>Max consecutive pull-ups x 3</strong></p>
<p>Teams have 30 min to establish a 1-rep max clean and jerk, overhead squat and max consecutive pull-ups x3 for each member.</p>
<p>Female members will start working together on the clean and jerks, men on overhead squats for 10 min, women will then move to overhead squats, men to clean and jerks for 10 min. All team members will end on pull-ups with one member working at a time. During the 10 minutes at clean and jerks and OHS members can take as many attempts as they want and time allows. Each team member will take 3 attempts of max consecutive pull-ups during the 10 minutes and the 3 attempts will be totaled for the final score.</p>
<p>Team score is the total of each members max lifts and max consecutive pull-ups.</p>
<p><strong>Clean and jerk</strong>-ground to shoulder/shoulder to overhead with arms locked and head through. Feet must be brought back together and bar controlled overhead before being put down for lift to count.</p>
<p><strong>Overhead squat</strong>-bar must be locked out overhead for entire squat and hips below parallel at the bottom of the squat.</p>
<p><strong>Pull-ups</strong>- chin must be visibly over bar and full extension of the arms at the bottom of the pull-up.</p>
<p>(Pull-up modifications are allowed but will not count towards team’s final score)</p>
<p>The lowest increase women can take per lift is 5 lbs. Women can start as low as 33lbs and up to a total of 148lbs using all plates provided. The lowest increase men can take per lift is 10lbs. Men can start as low as 45lbs and up to a total of 285 using all the plates provided.  There will be a supply of extra plates for all teams to use if needed and 15 lb bars available upon request.</p>
<p>Teams are responsible for moving men and women’s bars to appropriate area when switching lifts. Women’s plates will be piled on one side of the work area and men’s on the other. Extra plates will be piled in the middle of the entire workout area.</p>

</p>
<p>One member works at a time on the buy in/not all members need to participate in the buy in /two members working at a time on the row and double unders but only one per exercise. Members do not have to do both exercises.</p>
<p>Members cannot start on the rower or double unders until buy-in is completed.</p>
<p><strong>Rope climb</strong>-must start from a standing position, no jumping up to start the climb. Bell at the top of the rope must be rung and athletes descend down the rope to the ground- no jumping off.</p>
<p><strong>Row-</strong> team can set the rower for their team before workout begins but may not change settings once the workout has started. Rower starts at 0 calories.</p>
<p><strong>Double unders</strong>-rope must pass completely under the feet twice</p>
<p>Each team will have 1 rope/1 rower and 4 jump ropes (ropes are available but athletes are encouraged to bring their own)</p>

<p align="center">(20-inch box, 53/35-kettle bell, 30/20lb dumbbells, 20/14-wallball 10/9-foot target)</p>
<p align="center"><strong>25 min time limit</strong></p>
<p>Two members working at a time-one member on the box jumps and one member on wallballs then one on push-press and one on swings.</p>
<p>Teams may divide reps as they wish but all box jumps and wallballs must be completed before push-press and swings can be started. Workout ends when all team members are back and kneeling by their box.</p>
<p><strong>Box jumps</strong>-athletes feet must leave the ground together and land on box together with toes touching the designated mark on the box. Hips must come to full extension at the top of the jump. Athletes may jump or step off.</p>
<p><strong>Kettle bell swings</strong>-kb must be vertical overhead with ear visible from side.</p>
<p><strong>Push-press- </strong>Dumbbells go from shoulder to overhead with arms fully extended at top with head through and ear visible from side.</p>
<p><strong>Wallballs</strong>-10 foot targets for men/9 foot for women/ Hips must come below parallel at the bottom of the squat. The wallball starts with a squat and ends when the athlete catches the ball after the ball touches the designated target.</p>
<p>Each team will have one 20-inch box/one 53 lb kettle bell/one 35 lb kettle bell/two 30 and two 20lb dumbbells/one 20 lb wall ball and one 14 lb wall ball.</p>
