WOD

Today’s WOD:

- Max Double Unders in 2 Minutes

4 Rounds
- 25 Kettle Bell Swings (53#/35#)
- 10 Handstand Push-ups
- 10 Knees to Elbows

Challenge:
- 500M Row

    It seemed that today, even the warm-up was a workout.

    WOD- 21:05 Rx

    Struggled on the last 5 HSPU’s trying to get done under 20 min.

    Would like to put out an APB on Ben Rotker, if anyone has seen or heard from Ben, please let the 6am hour know. He has been missing now since Fran, I’m afraid he may not have survived.

    When it comes to snow, Coach Dave and Danny are worst than a couple of soccer moms.

    Per the Blog Manager…ALL CLASSES ARE STILL ON TONIGHT. ALSO SATURDAYS ARE NOW TRANSFERABLE….JUST KIDDING JAY.

    That being said….did somebody say HANDSTAND PUSHUPS?

    No double-unders-want to give my knee some recovery time

    WOD 18:32, I think–modified

    first time attempting HSPUs –modified (3, yes 3 abmats, but I have really long arms)

    HSPUs 1st round-10, 2nd round 5+5 pike push-ups on box, 3rd round 3+7 pike, 4th round 4+6 pike

    KBs 25 swings, 53# KB no breaks all 4 rounds

    didn’t realize how much the workout took out of me until the challenge–

    500m row 1:36.1–9.5 seconds slower than my last 500m row and my slowest row in 6 months–my pulls just lacked power. I’m still confident that I’ll be able to pull sub 1:25 in the next couple of months, but it will have to be at the beginning of a workout.

    Did the Y version of the WOD today….
    4 rounds
    25 kb swings 35#
    10 HSPUs (on a box for me)
    10 sit ups (no bar for K2Es)
    done in about 10 minutes…..those kb swings were hard…last round I could only do 10 at a time.

    2:25 on the 500M row.

    then for fun practiced front squats, back squats, and push presses (just did 65# for each).

    I checked the snowless forecast and arrived at 4:25 sharp yesterday to get a prime parking spot in Topsfield. Also avoided those tardy burpees I seem to be a regular at lately. Note to self: read email first

    This one was a serious shoulder and arm burner.

    Got to 31 consecutive double unders…which was good…but shoulders were burning by then.

    19:00 – Modified Round 3 of the HSPU to Pike push ups, otherwise, tackled it RX’d.

    1:51 for the row, not the best, but not terrible after two workouts…(two mild fran rounds as a “warm up”? Nice one guys!)
