Good crowd in the 6 AM today…rare Rotker sighting AND a Meegan!

Pretty tired by the finish of the clean progressions.

    Shortened set:
    3@95
    3@135
    2@165
    1@185 Fail
    1@185 Fail
    1@185 Fail
Kept at the 185 because it’s there…just couldn’t pull it all together today…

Short handstand practice, then onto muscle up progressions/practice. Sorry guys, not today, but SOON -- DEFINITELY in March!

    Tabata hollow rocks…need no commentary…

I had heard a rumor that a Rotker sighting was in the works, and for the first time in about a month I was not disappointed. Good to see ya back.

Worked in with several people today. Ended up finishing out with Brandon.

    3@95
    3@135
    2@165
1@185 nearly crushed me at the bottom, need to keep tight abs (a constant problem)
    1@185 FAIL
1@185 a lot better form throughout this time.

Tabata hollow rocks, JP put it the best, rounds 3-8 sounded like a room full of men trying to give birth. I’m renaming these Tabata PAIN.

    WOD was a welcome rest

    full cleans

    3@135
    3@155
    2@175
    1@180 pr
    1@185 pr

lots of problems with my form--pulling early, squeezing the bar during the catch, and rising too fast with my hips during the initial pull, not to mention holding my breath
so much that I got light headed and felt tingling in my legs. Other than that, form was near perfect.

  4. Jason Fournier Says:

Damn! Cleans and Snatches always seems to be on Wednesdays. The day that I usually can’t make it. Can I use my Saturday to come an extra day during the week and do this?

  5. Joe V Says:

    3 @ 135
    3 @ 155
    2 @ 175
    2 @ 175
    1 @ 185 fail
    1 @ 185 (pr)
    1 @ 205 (pr) yes!
    1 @ 210 fail
    1 @ 210 fail

Good technique is so important. I couldn’t believe how easy the 205 was when I got it, yet my other failures (even at the lower weight 185) did not feel easy at all. But whenever I consciously thought about technique is when I flailed. I hate it when my mind gets in the way!

Was NOT prepared for last nights WOD. I show up late…I had to leave early for darts. Did two full rounds…almost puked and created a massive head ache. Jesus didn’t see that one coming.

Regardless its my birthday today so add 27 Muscle ups to the WOD. We don’t do Burpees on M$’s Bday. We do Muscle ups.

    BRET!!!!!

  7. rotker Says:

Felt good to be back today.

    See you on Friday!

  8. Joe V Says:

M$, I did 50 muscle-ups for Ben’s birthday yesterday. Ben is not actually 50, but he just looks 50.

  9. rotker Says:

    Thats (NOT) what she said

  10. Gordon Says:

M$ -- wondering why you left last night -- I thought it was something Crosbie said.

    Happy birthday
