Definite burner still feeling Oly work from last night. Good improvements coming with it.
Scaled weight on the thrusters to keep them moving more consistently. Heavier, but moving slower doesn’t always equal more work capacity. 34:04
Still doesn’t look that hard on the board. Db thrusters killed me. 37:09 w/30lbs and 24 in box. Can’t guess how long this would take alone, great motivation from the 6am and Raf’s air guitar.
Holy Shit that was hard! Went w/ the 35′s and 24″ box the whole way. Not sure what my time was but i do know i was the last one done. This one crushed me!!
This was so unpleasant. I was just over 32 minutes….but with 20lb dumb bells. Did the first round with 25 and said: screw this. This is one I hope to never seen again. Those DB thrusters are brutal.
Damn! This was a tough one! I can’t remember doing a WOD with this many non-bodyweight reps before. 24:58 Rxd on this one for me. I loved all of the determination I saw out there today. Everyone felt like hell but we pushed through it together. Seeing everyone else gutting it out and people crawling around on the floor gasping for air and swearing kept me moving. I’m not sure if anyone else liked the music selection today but the old school rap was just what I needed.
BIG shout out to The Dominator for his comeback today. He picked an awful wod to come back out of retirement for and for that he should be commended. Sidenote: if anyone is struggling with their sense of fashion you need to talk to The Dominator. This guy strolls into the gym after a hefty hiatus wearing probably the first pair of gym shorts created by the Nike corporation. Those were probably a pair of some sort of concept shorts out of the 1970′s. Who knew Nike was around then? Who knew they had the balls to make tight blue shorts with yellow racing stripes back then? Who knew The Dominator would have the foresight to buy them and then hold onto them for this long before showcasing them at this wod? Long story long…The Dominator wins the shorts of the day contest. He combined those shorts with some high white socks and possibly a pair of black shell toes and let me tell you that he rocked the shit out of it. You just can’t teach fashion sense like that. Well done, sir. Well done.
OMG, that was another brutal WOD. 33:21RX. I am proud that I did RX, I want to go down in weight but I stuck through it. We had a big class today and EVERYONE was working extremely hard til the end. GREAT JOB 4:30 class!
45# RX for 120 thrusters! Just a little to heavy for me. Used 35# for rounds 1,2,4 and 30# for round 3. 25:40. One of the toughest lately. Almost took off my shirt for the second time ever.
Very good advice on the printed workout schedule on the board about experimenting with your rest. I’ve learned lately that I really only need about half the rest i feel like taking durring a hard WOD. For example i rested durring the thrusters today for 10 seconds and the next time for 5 seconds. When i got back to the reps i felt about the same and compled the same amount of reps after each.
The key to good mechanics. See your olympic lifts frame by frame. Break old running habits with a 45 minute video analysis session.

Working out 5x per week. Way stronger, more endurance. Sense of community at CrossFit is something I’ve never felt before at a gym.
The trainers at CrossFit have been absolutely wonderful, and have helped modify skills to my individual level.
